Customer Service Representative

Greater London, Hybrid Working Model  

Leading Food Group – Confectionery

£30,000 + Package

Are you an aspiring Customer Service professional, with experience of order management, import and export and account management, across a number of growing categories, whilst communicating internally with various functions, then this is the role for you!

Currently working with a well-established food group, with a multitude of recognisable brands, who are looking for a Customer Service Representative. The role is  responsible for processing orders from receipt to shipment to final customers of the UK domestic market. The role has been described by the client as an opportunity to catapult a supply chain professional’s career into global function!

The Customer Service Representative role will be responsible for:

  • Order management of a portfolio of accounts from order receipt through to invoicing/dispatch
    • Management of sales conditions in SAP based on input from sales: standard pricing and discounts for these customers
    • Checking each order is correct from a pricing perspective before processing & checking

correct stock has been ordered and is available;

  • Offering customer service to both external customers and internal departments
  • Maintain relationship with sales teams to ensure orders are correct first time
    • Investigating all enquiries received by telephone and email, including stock availability,

delivery updates/problems, product information and pricing

  • Resolve telephone and email queries, including stock availability, delivery updates, product information
  • Resolve after-sales queries on pricing, refusals, short deliveries
  • Collaboration with Finance to ensure credit claims are dealt with and creating credit notes: returns, damages, price and stock differences
  • Daily contact with Logistics Service Provider, customers and sales regarding customer
  • deliveries
  • Maintaining a database of Customer Information
  • Contribute to Supply Chain Team KPI’s, process improvements and cost saving projects (order efficiencies)
  • Process returns, damages, price and stock differences

Customer Service Representative Requirements:

  • SAP proficient, Excel
  • Customer Service, preferably in the FMCG sector
  • Excellent interpersonal and active listening skills, clear communication skills, attention to detail
  • Adapting approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
  • Making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
  • Stepping up to address difficult issues, saying what needs to be said.
  • Creating new and better ways for the organisation to be successful.
  • Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies.
  • Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances
  • Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
