Client Details
My client is a global leader in spirit distillery and distribution, established in over 75 countries. Still a family owned business my client has proven its ability to develop, acquire, incubate and grow high-quality spirits brands globally due to its well-invested end-to-end UK platform, including distilling, distribution, marketing, traditional retailing and e-commerce.
Description
- Maximise sales of the core portfolio to an existing account base within both Independent Free Trade and Leased outlets across Central and West London
- Win and secure new business to grow distribution within the same territory
- Merchandise all products, ensure availability of stock and maximise share of space within outlets for maximum visibility and brand awareness
- Activate point of sale material to promote sales and ensure
- Educate staff of perfect serves, menu presence, brand activation and sampling
- Build relationships with wholesalers and end users to become the expert within your territory
- Introduce NPD to customers to grow the stocked range
- Effectively plan and manage the working day to ensure key decision makers are met. This may involve some later evening work to align with the bar scene
- Be the 'go-to-person' for industry trends and data to keep ahead of competition
- Know your numbers and build reports within agreed time frames
- Attend trade shows and events, including supporting Regional Sales Managers / National Account Managers as required
- Be an strong communicator, highly organised and time efficient
- Support the off-trade and impulse channels with grocery store compliance checks and depot stock drives when required
Profile
- Educated to degree level
- Experience selling in the On-Trade preferred (London On-Trade a bonus), would also consider an experienced bar tender looking to begin a sales career (must have detailed knowledge of drinks and serves if no sales experience)
- Full UK driving licence required
- The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal, communication and numerical skills
- Able to use commercial knowledge and awareness to drive profitable business growth and deliver exceptional results
- Graduates considered but must have solid experience of the bar scene and drinks experience. Also suitable for someone looking to take the next step in their sales career

- £36-40k basic salary
- Additional 10-15% discretionary bonus dependent on targets
