Client Details

An exciting opportunity to join the UKs largest supplier of home furnishings within their sector. With exciting growth plans over the coming years, my client is looking for a goal orientated, energetic, creative and experienced National Account Manager. To be successful in this role you will be excited at managing a portfolio of existing profitable accounts whilst also bringing in new business.

  • Manage and develop an existing group of national retailers whilst also identifying and securing new business accounts
  • Creating sales strategies and business plans both immediate and longer-term to maximise sales and profit
  • Identify key product trends and work with the buying team to source products that can meet this demand and continue to stay at the forefront of the market
  • Already hold or develop a thorough knowledge of the market to predict customer demands and product trends through effective data analysis
  • Work with internal teams around marketing, stock management and customer service to ensure client satisfaction is maximised
  • Work with technical staff at both factories and in our offices to ensure that products are developed to meet customer standards in terms of performance and compliance
  • Track and record all account performance and submit monthly reports on progress with direct visibility to CEO level
  • Think outside the box to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty
  • Have the necessary skills to identify how markets are changing and develop strategies for an ever-increasing digital world

  • Educated to Graduate level
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Key Account Manager/ National Account Manager or Business Development Manager role with proven experience
  • Experience in the Home Furnishings sector (textiles a bonus)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional time management, organisation and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet critical deadlines
  • Have a strong affinity for products and their potential for development
  • Strong negotiator and problem solver
  • Highly driven and self-motivated
  • Comfortable both leading and being led
