Job Description:

 

  • As Business Development Manager you will be tasked with managing the Northern Territory which is inclusive of Scotland going as far down as Yorkshire.
  • Selling into independent retailers, garden centres and builders merchants growing accounts and gaining new business in the area.
  • Up selling products and identifying places where more products lines can be stocked.
  • You will manage your own diary and be able to work autonomously and on your own initiative developing sales strategies and hitting sales targets.

  • An established DIY company who have a very large portfolio of products including hand tools, power tools, hardware, ironmongery, decorative, garden, housewares, pet care, plumbing etc.
  • With ambitious growth plans looking to expand their team in an autonomous role where you can self motivate and manage your own area.

 

 

Key Skills/Experience Required:

 

  • For this Business Development Manager role, you will ideally come from a sales background in the DIY sector or similar and be a keen and confident seller.
  • You will be self motivated and be able to manage your own diary and be comfortable presenting to customers.
  • Experience selling into the DIY, merchant or garden customer base would be highly beneficial.

 

 

Salary/Benefits Information:

 

  • Th salary package for the role will be between £40,000 - £42,500 and will be reviewed again once the 6 month probationary period has been completed.
  • A hybrid Company car will be provided and annual leave will be 23 days plus bank holidays.
