Based in Bedfordshire, my client are a market leading toy manufacturer who are looking to add an ambitious, driven Junior National Account Manager to their team.

My client are a market leading toy manufacturer who have established themselves as key player in the UK. With a number of leading outdoor toy brands their success has been built on creating, manufacturing and selling high quality brands.

The business invests heavily in marketing to grow unknown brands into well-established recognisable ones. The business sells in to over 40 countries worldwide and has a growing portfolio of brands and products.

The business enjoy developing and progressing talented people, they are looking to add a talented Junior NAM to the business who wants to not only learn, develop and grow into a NAM and Senior NAM in the future, but someone who wants that autonomy and responsibility of some exciting key retail accounts. My client can offer you all of this!


The Successful Junior National Account Manager - Outdoor Toys:
  • Full P&L responsibility to manage John Lewis, B&M, Waitrose and TJ Morris
  • Reporting into the Senior National Account Manager you will also support on Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Asda and Smyths Toys
  • Establish effective contact networks within specific key customers
  • Develop new business within account portfolio through category, listing and customer development
  • Prepare sales materials for seasonal previews across the account base
  • Attend trade shows to preview new product introductions as and when required
  • Undertake market research to stay on top of competitor activity and report key findings on range, activity, pricing and identify trends to help plan
  • Manage customer selections from initial proposal stage to execution in store ensuring relevant external/internal contacts are kept updated of customer requirements and expectations
  • Model trade pricing for approval and support SNAM in price, contract and trade terms negotiations.
  • Input into national forecast by updating the Supply & Demand team on range (de) selections, order dates, forecasts and key promotional activity
  • Support Sales administration at key peak times
  • Be commutable to a Bedfordshire head office 2 times a week.


The Successful Junior National Account Manager - Outdoor Toys:
  • FMCG or Consumer experience across Grocery, discount retail or online channels
  • Toy industry experience is desired but not essential
  • Relationship development - Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships internally and externally.
  • Financial acumen - good understanding of P&L and various levers / drivers of performance - with some experience either managing or supporting on a P&L
  • Problem Solving & Analysis - take ownership of problems by analysis of facts to discover truths, objectively evaluating options and recommending solutions
  • Selling & Negotiation - Good fundamental understanding and working experience of selling and negotiation
  • Tenacity and can do attitude with high levels of personal organisation and attention to detail, able to adapt and manage a fluid list of priorities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and able to express ideas and points of view in a clear, well structured, concise manner
  • Committed to personal development and progression
  • Full driving license
  • Be commutable to a Bedfordshire Head office 2 times a week
