We are handling a rare and exciting opportunity for an International Sales Manager / International Account Manager with experience of selling into German supermarkets, either directly or via distributors.
This is an exciting opportunity to perform a senior account management role for a market-leading, growing, and internationally focussed food business.
The company’s food products are sold into both retail and food service channels throughout Germany and Central Europe and this role will manage an existing turnover of circa £10m in the region.
The International Account Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Central Europe will be responsible for managing sales with existing and new accounts with leading supermarkets in the country, mostly via exclusive distribution partners.
This role will require European travel of course and the ideal candidate will be able to work from the office in the northern home counties 2 or 3 days per week with flexibility on working from home.
An established and highly successful British manufacturer of branded and private label food products.
For this international account manager position, fluency in Germany is a prerequisite as is previous experience of working with food or non-food FMCG.
The business is interested in recruiting someone with an understanding of European retail (especially in Germany) and this experience will have come from managing sales into the grocery channel, either directly or via distributors. If you have managed sales into supermarkets such as Edeka, Rewe, Kaufland, Aldi, Lidl, and Netto we will particularly interested in hearing from you.
The client considers the skill set to be transferable, so product sector experience is not necessarily the primary concern. Any FMCG product that is sold into multiple retailers (food, drink, housewares, personal care, nursery, cosmetics, household chemicals etc…etc…) will be considered suitable for this position.
The business will design a package to attract the right candidate. It is anticipated that the basic salary will be between £55-80,000 (flexible to suit the selected candidate) plus bonus.
