The Company:

Established in 2011, this is a £10 million turnover British fashion brand that has secured impressive distribution into hundreds of UK retailers and a long list of national retail groups. The company’s passion for outdoor living is clear in its culture as the brand reaches a global audience. We are looking for a talented Sales Manager to lead the team into an exciting future.

The Role: Sales Manager – Wholesale & Export:

This is an exciting, hands-on, customer focused Sales Manager’s role in a fast-paced fashion business. The job holder will work closely with the Managing Director and Finance Director to agree and deliver sales strategies with close liaison across design, production, warehousing and logistics. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver sales results that meet / exceed targets
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with all team members
  • Coach improvement through field accompaniments
  • Analyse sales data and report performance against target in all channels
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities alongside market opportunities
  • Actively participate in trade exhibitions
  • Review existing and on-board new international distributors

The job holder is likely to be at head office in Poole, Dorset for 2 days each week and field / home based for the remainder

Candidate profile: Sales Manager - Wholesale & Export:

In order to balance the office and field-based nature of the role we expect the job holder to live in or be prepared to move to Dorset, Hampshire, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, BANES, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Sussex, Surrey or Oxfordshire.

The additional qualities that are important in this role are:

  • A proven track record in field sales management and key account sales
  • Previously represented a consumer brand in a multi-channel environment
  • A wealth of knowledge of selling to independent and multi-site retailers
  • A coaching leadership style that empowers and energises others
  • Excellent presentation, communication and customer relationship skills A hands-on style. Comfortable in leading sales presentations to key customers

The Reward:

A negotiable basic salary to £75,000 plus a 20% annual bonus opportunity. Company car or car allowance. Mobile, laptop, clothing allowance.
