The main objective of this role is to drive the rapid growth of our chilli ingredients range with new customers (food manufacturers & processors) as well as managing current customers.   

The ideal candidate will be a driven, ambitious individual with experience within food/ingredients market.

Key attributes will be :

  • 2 – 3 years proven sales and business development experience.
  • Highly motivated and professional.
  • Commercially driven and with an ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Focused and goal orientated.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, along with excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute a sales focused business plan that supports the objective of achieving new customers in our target markets.
  • Like Chilli.
  • Full UK driving license.

They must thrive and be driven by the challenge of the food ingredients sector.  Be adept at initiating meetings with prospective and dormant customers to establish relationships which benefit the Chilli Doctor.

Part of the brands remit is to help educate existing and prospective customers about chilli as an ingredient, whilst showing the product benefits of our various formats and supply partners. This is delivered by customer  presentations typically with NPD and buying teams, where the Sales and Business Development Manager is the chilli expert or ambassador. Full chilli product training will be provided.

Building relationships and passion for the product are key to the success for this role.
