The role

Do you have a passion for sales? We are looking for an ambitious individual who will thrive in a fast-paced sales environment and would like to learn & develop in a sales role. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tactical Retail Development Representative (Sales rep) to come and join our leading Field Sales team. This role will cover all areas of Birmingham, predominantly between the M5 South corridor to include Cheltenham, Gloucester, Bristol, Stroud, but your skills may also be deployed across different areas within your region to meet business needs. 

In this role, you will be working with our industry leading brands such as Lambert & Butler, Rizla, Golden Virginia and our vape brand Blu. 

This is a frontline sales role, where you will be travelling around your region distributing our products to independent retailers, key accounts such as Tesco & ASDA. This is a rewarding role where you will have day to day contact with a wide-ranging customer base. 

As a trainee sales rep you will receive in-depth training and support from your colleagues to develop your skills further. This is designed to set you up for future opportunities to potentially secure your own permanent area. 

Key Accountabilities

•    Build an in-depth understanding of customer needs and shopper dynamics.
•    Distribute our world-famous brands such as Lambert & Butler, Rizla, Golden Virginia and Blu.
•    Lead discussions with retailers to ensure maximum distribution of our products.
•    Educate retailers about our products to ensure they have the best knowledge to pass onto the consumer.
•    As a Field Sales Executive, this role requires flexibility to move around a large geographical area, this will include staying away from home regularly.

Skills and experience

•    Proven track record of sales experience and achieving sales targets. 
•    Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to quickly build strong relationships.
•    Ability to use your initiative and to act independently when required.
•    Strong will to succeed and set yourself stretching targets.
•    You are efficient, accurate and timely in the administration associated with the role.
