The role:

• The successful Buying Manager Non-Food will manage all direct and indirect areas covering cleaning, uniform, packaging, consumables, energy etc will have responsibility for leading a team of 4 sourcing and negotiating a range that meets the strategic plan and delivers targeted sales and profit
• Leading, coaching and developing the team you will manage supplier selection, raw material sourcing, high level negotiation, open book methodologies and tender management
• In the role the Buying Manager Non-Food would apply technical knowledge around different types of pricing agreements, supplier budget management and cost savings
• As Buying Manager Non Food you will develop supplier relationships that ensure continuous improvement of cost, value and service.
• Working closely with supply chain the Buying Manager Non-Food will shape the strategic sourcing strategy
• The Buying Manager Non-Food will lead category based projects that optimize supply chains, improve quality and drive profitability

Ideal candidate:

• You will currently be leading a small team buying non-food either within food retail, foodservice or food wholesale within the UK. You will have passion for working for a fast-paced multi-site environment
• It is essential that you can demonstrate a passion for sourcing and category management, and a flair for commerciality along with fantastic negotiation skills
• Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with stakeholders.
• As Buying Manager Non-Food you must have good insight and data analysis skills and be able to action opportunities to drive profit
• You will have excellent project management, strategic thinking and leadership skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative or as part of a wider cross functional team a self-starter with can-do attitude
• You will thrive in a growth orientated fast paced environment with high levels of integrity and a community feel

• Salary up to £75k plus, car allowance, bonus benefits

• Role is split between 2 days in North London head office, 2 days at home, 1 day in supplier/in the field
