Within our Burton’s group, we have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans. In total we employ circa 2,100 people around across our locations.

What does your typical day look like?
You will be responsible for developing and setting the strategy for our continuous improvement journey. You will also provide support to the site to deliver our annual and longer term objectives
Other key actions will be but not limited to:
create and deliver the 3 year manufacturing excellence strategy
work closely with the engineering and operations department to deploy initiatives that will add value/ or remove cost/waste
Implement and embed standardized ways of working , process controls , problem solving, data capture and analysis
Continually develop our continuous improvement systems to improve the site performance
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will need proven experience of developing and leading CI initiatives , driving change management and improvement strategies .
You will need to be confident with Lean Sigma Black belt. Adding operational excellence practitioner into the mix will improve the mix.
While a background in food would be an advantage, experience within FMCG and manufacturing can also be taken into consideration.
