Job Details

The advocate group are working in partnership with a major player in the global spirits industry. This business has an extensive list of well-developed brands in the market. The brand is distinctive and recognisable both on a professional level and as an individual consumer.

We are now on the search for a Category and Insight Controller who will support their growth ambition by leading and developing the team across both the on & off Trade channels. We are searching for a dynamic individual with a strategic mindset who is driven and passionate about all things category and insights!

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise category and customer insight to identify and highlight future growth opportunities.
  • Lead continuous analysis of brand performance through both the On and Off Trade channels.
  • Ownership of category growth drivers to shape strategic direction whilst ensuring category drivers and support with insights to enhance engagement inked to consumer category or shopper trends.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key retail partners and customers through category reviews, range reviews and presentations.
  • Ownership of the internal reporting for all marketing and category data.

About you

  • Several years of experience within a  category management position, ideally within the FMCG industry.
  • Experience in working within category management principles with experience working within a customer facing roles.
  • Knowledge of Data systems such as Kantar, Nielsen or Dunnhumby.
  • Personal resilience and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Passionate and creative with a flair for creating memorable, stand out brand experiences.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. With the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
