The Role:

• As Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for maximising sales and productivity through the effective management of a field-based, part time merchandising team.
• The area covered will be East Manchester, comprising of: Oldham, Ashton Under Lyne, Glossop, Stockport, Cheadle and you should live ideally in, or close to, the Oldham, Ashton or Stockport area.

The Managers Role Includes: 

• Implementing directives on all aspects of customer service, compliance, store standards and product installation for the effective sell through of products.
• This will involve ongoing implementation of store call coverage, both on a weekly basis and during display seasonal periods.
• You will be required to closely monitor the performance of your territory against KPIs, including merchandiser call compliance, on shelf availability and sales performance.
• People management is at the heart of this role, and you must demonstrate you can effectively manage and motivate a remote based team.
• You will also be involved in the successful selection, recruitment and training of all Part Time Merchandisers for your territory.

The Person:

• Being an excellent communicator is key as the role will involve verbal and electronic communication with internal teams and customer colleagues in stores.
• A flexible and highly organised approach, with the ability to easily adapt to changing situations in a challenging and fast paced environment is essential.
• You should be proficient user of Microsoft Office with a keenness to learn and adapt to new technology on an ongoing basis.
• A laptop, tablet and mobile phone are provided, and a company car comes with the role as travel around the territory will be required on a weekly basis.
• Proven experience of building and developing field based sales or merchandising teams is required for this exciting position.
