National Account Manager
FMCG- Grocery
Home Based – Access to Manchester two days per week
Salary £43,000 - £50,000 + bonus + car allowance + benefits
Our client has a range of high-quality brands with a heritage that has given them national distribution, and a presence with international retailers. This quality delivery has resulted in a major growth trend and due to this they need to strengthen their sales team by appointing a National Account Manager to manage multiple grocery accounts and a high street chain.
Working for the National Account Controller and being part of the Grocery team, the focus is to develop business and sales strategy across your accounts. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the grocery sector. Your key performance indicators will include driving profitable sales volume and managing local and national trade promotional spend. Developing relationships at head office level cross functionally including buying, category and supply chain teams will be important.
Ideal candidates will be from an FMCG background that has provided them with classical sales training. You will have worked with minor multiple as an Account Manager or have been in a support role in sales or category that has given you real insight into multiple grocers and their methods. Able to interpret data to help build commercial proposals. An ability to negotiate at a level that maintains and builds long term relationships is essential.
