An opportunity for an individual looking to evolve their career within category, to land within a hugely progressive beverage business as the Category Manager on Wholesale, supporting the delivery of the strategic channel agenda for the business.

Description

Internally: this role will work in partnership with Marketing and the Channel Director and Sales Leads, with the Category Manager on Wholesale, identifying and driving category and commercial opportunities across Tea

Externally: this role is responsible for delivering best in class category leadership with identified priority partner customers and/or sectors. Using a mix of market, shopper and customer insights to identify category growth partnership opportunities, the role leverages / executes these through excellence in all Category Leadership initiatives, tactics and practices

Category Thought Leadership:
  • Delivering objective actionable category insight and recommendations to key customers to position as Category partner of choice
  • Develop external narrative of portfolio and growth strategy across all relevant brands, and aligned to customers strategies


Commercial strategies:
  • Collaborate with sales & marketing teams to design brand initiatives set up to win in UK Trade for the Wholesale channel
  • Equipping UK national account team with toolkits and selling tools needed to win in Channel, as well as inputting into a JBP delivering mutual growth
  • Partner with sales to build and enhance customer/sub channel plans during Strategic Customer Planning


Category Champion:
  • Lead performance reviews of Premium Tea portfolio to drive meaningful insight-led action
  • Accountable for managing all RTD data and insight systems
  • Equipping UK national account team with toolkits and selling tools needed to unlock new distribution


Profile
  • Category - Exposure, understanding or workings within FMCG Category Development - strategies, initiatives & tactics
  • Sales - Experience of customer partnership / working aligned to sales to help unlock category growth
  • Data - Highly analytical with ability to translate insights into relevant strategies & producing compelling stories both internally & externally
  • Influence - Demonstrates an ability to convince others of one's point of view and ideas to take action that will advance shared interests and business goals
  • Agility - Thinks and executes with speed. Quickly responds by flexibly marshalling resources, processes, knowledge, and capabilities
  • Collaboration - Sees the bigger picture, reaches out and works cooperatively with teams across boundaries
