About the Role:

  • Working as a Speciality Coffee and Equipment Account Manager/BDM, you will be passionate about maintaining existing business, developing new business and want to have a direct impact on the growth of the company you work for. 

 

Duties Will Include:

  • Managing an existing customer portfolio of around 160 establishments, cross selling and up selling speciality coffee and equipment throughout the Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire areas
  • Seek to open up new business opportunities within the region in order to achieve targets and grow market share
  • Actively look to develop strong and meaningful relationships with independent cafés, boutique hotels, artisan coffee shops and tea rooms and prestigious restaurants within the region
  • Arranging business meetings with prospective customers
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts for new accounts opened
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to senior decision makers
  • Attending relevant trade shows/networking
  • Carrying out equipment demonstrations
  • Preparing proposals for all new opportunities (with the support of internal sales team)

 

Key Skills/Experience Required:

In order to be considered for the role of Specialty Coffee Account Manager/BDM, you must possess the following:

 

  • A strong understanding of B2B sales within the coffee sector
  • Experience of selling into the high end HoReCa sector would be an advantage
  • A passion for speciality coffee, the community and creativity
  • An ability to clearly demonstrate natural and effective relationship building and management skills
  • The ability to present to customers and negotiate with confidence
  • Experience of using a CRM program (preferred but not essential)
  • Confidence in maximising sales opportunities through a comprehensive understanding of products and services
  • A good understanding of who the industry ‘movers and shakers’ are within the marketplace
  • Trustworthy, hardworking and have an ability to work and motivate yourself independently, while also working collaboratively
  • Ideally based in Oxon, Glos or Wilts
  • A full UK driving license
  • Effective time management and planning skills
  • Energy, enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude

 

Salary:

  • In return for your role as Specialty Coffee Account Manager/Business Development Manager, you will receive a basic salary of up to £35,000 p.a (depending on experience) as well as:
