2022 is going to be an exciting, challenging and very special time for top UK commercial talent to join this business and become part of their enlarging sales and marketing team, in further building both brand and own-label business across all UK trade channels.

THE ROLE

You will be accountable for delivering excellent support to the Category Manager and sales team to drive category performance within our client’s multiple categories. Delivering the category strategy and influencing distribution and NPD will be the daily focus. Key responsibilities will include analysing and interpreting data, including insights, competitor reviews and customer research. You will make category optimisation recommendations and identify opportunities for NPD. You will need to work cross functionally with internal and external teams.

The role is based at the Northamptonshire H.O. with homeworking flexibility c. 2 days per week.

ABOUT YOU

Of graduate calibre, you possess a minimum of 2 years in FMCG, ideally with category experience. Or you could be a successful Field Sales Executive working on FMCG brands, looking for your first head office role in the Sales team.

Ambitious graduates, in e.g., Business, Maths or Statistics, will also be considered as our client offers an excellent training programme.

It is essential that you possess a strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with a clear ability in Excel to pivot and lookup level. Previous experience working with data partners is beneficial, i.e., Nielsen, Kantar, retailer systems.

You are driven and an excellent team player. You have excellent communication and influencing skills and are adept at juggling numerous competing priorities and projects. Overall, you can bring pace, passion, a can-do attitude and a focused approach to this role!
