The Company:

Following consistent double-digit year on year growth within the organisation there is now a requirement for a National Account Manager to join one of the UK’s leading fresh food manufacturers in their already high performing sales and marketing division. Reporting into the UK Sales Director, this is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is looking to further their careers.

The key purpose of this role is to manage the agreed portfolio of retail accounts, whilst also working in conjunction with your line manager to develop and implement a new business strategy into the agreed channels.

The Role:

As the Commercial Manager, you will be expected to manage an agreed portfolio of food service customers professionally and effectively, whilst also identifying all new commercial opportunities which will enable the business to achieve and increase sales turnover and gross profit. You will be expected to maximise sales and account profitability, building long term relationships whilst also ensuring high levels of customer care and satisfaction. You will be expected to achieve sales and margin targets in line with company strategy, identifying all new business opportunities and devising proposals including the preparation of tenders to ensure achievement of agreed margins and targeted profitability. Reporting to the UK Sales Director, you will be expected to work autonomously, preparing budgets and forecasts as required and liaising with head office on a weekly basis.

Role Requirements

To be considered for this role you will be expected to have at least18 months experience working within a commercial or national accounts role. All those with a national accounts background must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of winning and or developing existing business.

In addition to the above you must have experience working with national accounts across food service channels. Whilst fresh food exposure is desirable, it is not essential. All those who have worked within the food manufacturer or distributor will be considered.
