Our client is on the search for a first class Commercial Analyst who will work with senior level stakeholders within the MS&P and wider teams. Their UK portfolio proudly demonstrates scale and strength in the UK Grocery sector, operating across multiple categories with household name brands and have an excellent NPD pipeline. You will be a very capable individual within FMCG or Retail and be able to demonstrate experience in adding value through analysis and business decision support.
FMCG Commercial Analyst
(Market Strategy & Planning)
£45,000 - 50,000 | Homebased
Reporting to the MS&P Controller, this role will lead the promotional effectiveness and support business modelling, commercial insight, joint business plans, brand plans and commercial plans. You will assist with the analysis of forecast accuracy providing insight into areas for improvement whilst working closely with the commercial and category team analysing performance, consumer data and market trends. You will have a solid understanding of consumer, shopper & customers and strong-minded with solid excel skills when looking at pricing strategy, promotions and packs as you look to develop a winning growth plan working closely with the stakeholders across sales, category and finance functions.
The successful candidate will have the following criteria:-
- Pricing and Promotional analsis experience within an FMCG environment
- Knowledge of customer spend management and promotional evaluation
- Solid commercial understanding with proven ability to deliver measurable growth plans
- Excellent data analytical skills with strong internal cross-functional experience
- Value creation minded
- Business Degree educated
Good candidate options will have a background in either Commercial Analytics, Market Strategy & Planning / Revenue Growth, Category or Category Planning (Grocery Retail).
