My client is looking for a Senior NAM to manage 2 top 4 grocers for 9 months alongside managing a team of 2. This is a great opportunity for a NAM looking to step up or a Senior NAM to move to an exciting business with a great opportunity to get a permanent job at the end of the 9 months.

I am working with an exciting, rapidly growing fmcg food business on a Senior NAM role. Based in a market that is delivering double digit growth, this rapidly growing business has innovation and creativity at the heart of what they do. Within their category my client are happy to say they own around 32% market share and range from number 1 to number 2 in the market across their various SKUs.

With a number of market leading products and excellent relationships with the major grocers and discounters continued growth is forecast for 2022 on the back of a very successful 2021 which delivered double digit growth.

The ingredients for their products are sustainably sourced, taste is at the heart of what they do and they always look to innovate and develop.

This is a great opportunity to not only work in an exciting, growing business but an opportunity to lead a team of 2 and manage 2 of their largest grocery accounts.

Description

The Senior National Account Manager - 9 month contract:
  • Manage 2 out of the top 4 retailers in the UK - Tesco and Sainsbury's
  • Devise & deliver exceptional business plans with key customers, ensuring sales of our products are maximised at key trading periods
  • Build unrivalled cross functional relationships with key customer contacts across buying, supply chain, category & format teams
  • Manage, coach and develop 2 direct reports (Junior Nams) in charge of different channels and therefore indirect responsibilities for these other channels.
  • Manage P&L and forecasting of assigned accounts and deliver value, volume and GP% metrics
  • Extend our depth & breadth of product ranges in customers across all the main estate formats such as convenience, dotcom, forecourts, café & front of store
  • Utilise customer systems to maximise our sales including influencing availability, compliance, promotion management
  • Deliver top class visibility and penetration through bringing the products alive in stores (POS, secondary displays, samplings)
  • Work with the Category Manager to deliver insights that drive significant business benefit

Profile

The Successful Senior National Account Manager - 9 month contract:


  • You will be a SNAM currently, an experienced NAM looking for the next step in your career or an experienced FMCG candidate looking for an exciting contract role to get stuck into
  • A great track record of driving sales and profitability while working on Top 4 FMCG accounts - you will have experience working with at least one of the top 4 grocers (Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's or Morrison's)
  • Results driven - you can show examples of strong, tangible business results that you have led personally
  • Resilience and tenacity - obstacles don't hold you back and you work effectively when faced with a tough buyer or tricky negotiation
  • Analytical - you are all over the data and can bring new and relevant insights on your accounts
  • Great relationship builder - you are personable and have a collaborative attitude to working with the buyer, getting the result we need but in a responsible and natural manner
  • Leadership - the more junior members of the sales team are able to look to you for guidance or knowledge and you bring a positive energy to the team
  • You are a great fit for the team
  • Commute to one of their two offices - Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire 2 - 3 days a week with 2 - 3 days a week at home.


Job Offer

The Successful Senior National Account Manager - 9 month contract:
  • £65,000 - £70,000 per annum basic salary
