My Client is a leading UK food manufacturer and supplier of premium, fresh and added-value food products with manufacturing sites throughout the UK.



Description
  • Develop and manage the existing sales ledger, driving profitable sales growth in this area of responsibility.
  • Lead, manage and develop your team of SNAM's, NAM's & NAE's to deliver to the required level.
  • Sustain and embed strong inter-site relationships between the company and key customer accounts.
  • Understand and develop the needs of the customer through regular face to face contact.
  • Maintain a full knowledge and enthusiasm for the range of products produced by the business, developed by regular contact with the shop-floor and key factory personnel.
  • Provide the first point of call for customer contact, managing any issues as and when they arise.
  • Manage the dynamics of the customer relationship, including project management, and understanding supply chain initiatives.
  • Maximise sales performance and profitability of key customers in the respective areas through control of both selling prices and cost of goods according to agreed aims.
  • Support the creation of product costings and maintain a full understanding of costings and customer costing models both internally and externally whilst identifying opportunities for increased profit.
  • Maintain regular contact with buyers and the NPD manager to develop the relationship with customers.
  • To create, develop and implement the site commercial strategy along with key stakeholders to develop the business and site.
  • Ensure knowledge of the site operations, to ensure best possible channels of communication and understanding of their requirements.
  • Drive NPD and EPD to increase profit and sales to both the company and the customer.
  • Optimise the quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction wherever possible.

  • Educated to "degree" level or equivalent preferably within a food sales background

  • Enthusiasm with the ability to manage excellent relationships with customers.
  • Confident and articulate, numerate, literate and capable of producing informative concise briefing notes, research reports and presentations.
  • An in depth and strategic understanding of trade marketing, consumer, product and retailer activities is essential.
  • Performance orientated and a proven ability of delivering category performance in conjunction with NPD and marketing within new and existing categories.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and make decisions
  • Problem solving / Analytical ability
  • Experience in a customer facing role, preferably with major retailers
