We have partnered with one of the fastest growing FMCG start-ups in the UK, who are looking for an exceptional marketeer to join their team as Head of Marketing!
Focused on creating some of the most exciting and innovative products in the health and wellbeing space, this stand-out business is looking for someone with a proven track record of building disruptive brands and creating a real buzz in the industry.
Seeing a 400% growth year on year to date, our client has secured product listings in grocery and high street retailers, as well as having a huge success in the online and ecommerce space.
Having secured several exciting rounds of investment they are now looking to grow the team further, recruiting a leader to shape their brand and marketing strategy, managing a team of 4.

The role:

  • To develop a deep understanding of their retailers, channels and consumers across the UK and Ireland to develop and execute a disruptive 360° marketing strategy that is consistent across all consumer touchpoints - with the core objective being to increase brand awareness, drive consideration and ultimately brand love
  • Define, lead and direct the team on the overall creative and design of the brand across earned, owned and paid media
  • Ensure all marketing campaigns and activations are shared with the wider team so that they are living and breathing the brand
  • Review, report and help set marketing KPIs and ROI on campaigns to take the learnings and strive for a cycle of continuous improvement based on the data
  • Always consider a first to market approach vs following the traditional path whilst keeping the brand guidelines in mind
  • Have a strong understanding of the retail team needs and regularly work alongside the Head of Sales to deliver meaningful commercial trade activations and present brand plans at customer meetings
  • Build best in class partnerships with influencers and like-minded brands in the industry
  • Work very closely with the E-commerce Manager through a commercial lens to help us deliver our Amazon and DTC targets through UX/UI, SEO, PPC, content and range improvements
  • Identify NPD and EPD opportunities and spearhead these projects from ideation through to best-in-class launch, working closely with the wider team to ensure alignment with the wider business strategy
  • Ownership of the marketing budget, ensuring this is tracked and reported on monthly

Candidate experience:
  • 3-5 years FMCG marketing experience (at least 2 years at an SME)
  • Experience in trade marketing (including Grocery and High Street channels)
  • Experience in brand building and brand activation
  • Experience in PR (either directly or through managing an external agency)
  • Experience in omni channel marketing (in-store and online)
  • Experience in devising and implementing strategic plans with creative flair
  • Excellent leadership, team management and communication skills
  • Experience of budget and P&L management
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, be highly organised and prioritise ruthlessly
  • A strategic and creative thinker
  • Strong writer - a natural flair for copy writing
  • A good eye for design (but design skills are not required as we have an in-house graphic designer) A fast learner that is comfortable navigating ambiguity and can work autonomously, with a proactive and flexible attitude
  • Be a team player and support the senior management team in building a strong culture
