Business Development Manager - Education

We are a successful long-established company that supports and advises nationally, academies, schools and colleges with the management of their in-house catering and associated catering services. We provide a complete package of compliant food supply contracts (UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015) and support services including training, audits and consultancy as well as non-food products, janitorial, light and heavy-duty catering equipment.

The Role:

The main focus of the role is to identify opportunities in the education sector, primarily within Multi-Academy Trusts therefore experience within the education catering sector is essential.  

You will be introducing the company, its services and the benefits we can provide to Multi-Academy Trusts nationally.  

Working closely with the Dukefield Foodservice CEO and Group Marketing Manager, you will be expected to further expand our existing business nationally, maximising the new opportunities created by developments in the educational market e.g. enlarged MATs.

Key Responsibilities:

To address Trust Board Members, Business Managers, Head Teachers, Catering Managers and Bursars.

• Creating development plans to address Trust Board Members, Business Managers, Headteachers, Catering Managers and Bursars.
• Proactively creating development plans
• Forecasting sales targets and growth projections
• Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking and other channels
• Meeting existing customers and building positive relationships
• Liaising with colleagues to develop sales and marketing strategies
• Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences
• Preparing sales presentations and participating

Skills and qualifications:

Knowledge of the educational foodservice industry is essential.

Experience of working with MATs, schools and colleges.

Proven track record in sales.

Must be an excellent negotiator with the ability to successfully address board-level personnel.
