Wholesale Channel Key Account Manager  (20 hours per week, Permanent) – North East England

At RSS, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Key Account Manager based in the North East of England to work in our Wholesale Division.   This is a permanent role and would be for 2.5 days per week / 20 hours.

The Role Brief

Manage and increase our client’s sales within the agreed Territory.  Develop relationships and grow sales through ‘Retailer’ and ‘End User’ initiatives, ensuring all opportunities explored and objectives achieved in the Cash & Carry depots

Key Functions

  • KAM’s will have responsibility for the development of Retailer/Caterer contact via your Wholesalers and Wholesalers BDM’s, through various initiatives such as Multi-siters, Active Selling, Trade show attendance, Telesales etc.
  • Ensure merchandising and fixture disciplines are up to the required high standard, maximising availability, minimising out of stocks, all POS in place and correct.
  • Ensure accurate data capture & consistent usage of Team Haven.
  • Ensure high standards of reporting and communication are achieved through professional presentation of work via Email, Case Studies, Yammer and phone calls.
  • Demonstrate and share ‘Best Practice’ and ‘Added Value’ with your colleagues and showcase professional Case Studies for use by the business.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with appropriate client contacts, and ensure when working in the trade the clients interests are prioritised.
  • Develop an excellent working relationship and ensure high standards of communication with your Senior KAM to maximise your in-direct accounts potential.
  • Participate in projects and team meetings as directed by the National Sales Manager.
  • At all times present a professional and positive attitude on behalf of RSS and its clients
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Achievement of  agreed business targets with client’s and your accounts 
  • Achievement of planned call coverage and cost effective journey planning 
  • Achievement of objectives set by client for distribution, availability and depot standards. 
  • Timely, quality reporting to clients, RSS management and Senior KAM.

You must hold a full driving licence and have your own car.   You will be reimbursed for any business mileage

Territory covers mainly the North East but with a monthly visit to Cumbria and Hull/Leeds
