The Role

International Sales Managers  - Have you attained your experience working with consumer goods sold into retail channels via distributors? Are you interested in joining a successful and profitable British business which manufactures in the UK and is growing its team? If so, then we would like to hear from you.

This successful, internationally focused business receives more than 75% of its sales from outside the UK. The business has recently created a new role, the position of Head of International Sales, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director.

The Head of International Sales will take responsibility for circa £20m and will manage a small team of direct reports. The company offers flexibility on working from home and hopes to hire someone who can work from the office in South Manchester 3 days per week.

The Benefits

The Head of International Sales will be paid a basic salary of between £50,000 and £55,000 plus package depending on experience.

The Person

As the successful candidate you have previous experience of working as an International Sales Manager or ideally a Head of International Sales / Head of Export Sales.  You enjoy selling consumer goods into retail channels via distributors and/or directly. Candidates should ideally have man-management experience or possess the credibility and gravitas required to convince the management team that they are ready for such a challenge.

The specific industry background of the suitable candidates is not important as the business owners believe in the transferable nature of the international sales skill set and distributor management experience. We are interested in talking to candidates with a background in consumer goods, either in FMCG or in consumer durables.  You will be accustomed to undertaking international travel when required and will ideally live in the North West of England.

Suitable locations include (but are not limited to) Greater Manchester, Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Merseyside and Cheshire.
