The Role: Area Sales Manager - Scotland:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and skilled Area Sales Manager to join a thriving garden trade business that has achieved 100% growth in the last year.

Covering Scotland, you would be selling a broad range of garden, leisure, pet and homewares brands to a customer base of 130 retail accounts across garden, pet, department store and DIY channels including regional key accounts.  

Key responsibilities will include:

• Inherit a well-established customer base of garden centres, pet stores and furniture retailers
• Create a journey plan that maximises customer contact time
• Visit all customers on a monthly basis to provide service and introduce new ranges
• Visit prospect accounts to introduce the brand and inspire the decision maker to get on board
• Be creative in seeking new business opportunities – farm shops, department stores, agricultural merchants and gift shops are all suitable targets
• Provide sales forecasts and daily updates to the CRM system

The Reward:

A basic salary of £30,000 - £38,000 plus annual bonus and company car. A laptop, ipad and mobile is provided to support you and the use of PixSell reduces admin time.

Candidate profile: Area Sales Manager - Scotland

We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager with a track record of success selling to garden centres or similar independent retailers throughout Scotland. You will need to demonstrate a broad skill set from managing multi-site key accounts to prospecting for new stockists together with the people skills to create great customer relationships. Additional requirements are:

• Centrally based in Scotland and able to travel as required.
• At least five years of field sales experience – dealing with independent retailers
• A passionate, charismatic and inquisitive character
• Numerate, articulate, fun and trustworthy
• High energy with fantastic communication skills
• Highly organised and able to work with a broad range
