Job Details

Recruiting for a retail Business Development Manager to cover the UK developing key accounts within retail and merchants such as retail accounts such as Roys, Decco, Toolbank, Travis Perkins Homebase, Halfords.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement sales strategy in support of business objectives and sales forecast within the retail channel, with consideration to new product launches, promotions, market trends and competitor activity.
  • Establish strong working relationships with existing customer accounts and work closely with these customers to maximise sales and identify areas for mutual profitable growth.
  • Proactively seek new customers to achieve a set target for new business and convert these into profitable and long-term accounts.
  • Plan, forecast and report upon sales activity against agreed KPI’s.

Key Skills/Experience Required: The role of Retail Business Development Manager will suit someone with the following:

  • Experience in a sales role within the retail channel with responsibility for a variety of customer types.
  • Successful sales history with experience of collaborative selling with key distribution partners.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence effectively at all levels, working effectively in a high pressure and deadline driven environment.
  • Able to work with various customer types and routes to market with the ability to negotiate and think laterally.
  • A professional, self-motivated, and passionate person with drive, ambition, and a will to ensure not only personal success but the success of the wider team and company.

Salary/Benefits Information: Package of circa £35,000 +  bonus + profit share+ car + benefits
