National Account Manager - O/L Chilled Food

A rewarding opportunity is now available due to a recent internal move within this large Own Label Chilled Food group. The business manufactures multiple chilled food categories across all the UK retail spectrum and leads the way with a solid NPD pipeline and is investing in new sites and manufacturing facilities going into Q1 in 2022.

National Account Manager
O/L Chilled Food – Top4 Grocery
£50,000 – 60,000 + £9k Car
Yorkshire / Lincolnshire region

The role reports into a senior commercial figure and has the flexibility to operate at NAM or SNAM level depending on experience and level of commerciality. You will have P&L responsibility for your customer category area whilst maximising sales growth and working closely with NPD & Marketing. You will be responsible for developing and guiding the implementation of the account specific Joint Business Plan, achieving account profitability and sales targets whilst providing account leadership throughout the business unit.

The successful candidate will have the following criteria:-
• Solid commercial experience within Own Label Chilled Food
• Driving NPD and maximising sales and developing the existing product range
• Experience of forecasts, budgeting and costings
• Joint Business Plan (JBP) execution
• Customer relationship management through selling and negotiation
• Ability to challenge the current ways of working and bring innovation to processes
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Degree educated
• Must be comfortable with working in the East Yorks / North Lincs region

** Experienced NAEs or NAMs will be considered in addition to solid SNAMs who are looking for a new chilled food category or challenge going in to 2022.
