Product Manager - Consumer Electronics - Southampton office/hybrid working

Our client is looking for a Product Manager to join their team, where you will be responsible for managing their full portfolio of products.

You will be encouraged to balance competing needs across all types of projects and channels, allocating resources and adjusting the plan to maximise long term value across the product category. The product manager will need to spend 50% of time on new product strategy, planning and projects and 50% of time on managing the existing portfolio.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Relevant product and/or industry experience.

• Degree educated, preferably Engineering, Technology or Marketing.

• Demonstrates clear leadership and the ability to influence and persuade using a full range of management and leadership skills including Project Management.

• First class written and verbal communications skills, expert analytical and numerical skills.

• Have a robust understanding of product creation & launch processes with good commercial and technical understanding of the product portfolio.

• Team Player, self-starter, flexible ‘can-do’ attitude, copes well with tight deadlines and handles pressure well, energetic and passionate.

• Be organised & process-driven, with a thorough and structured approach to working. Consistently demonstrates diplomacy, problem solving and decisiveness.

 

Desirable Experience

• Achievement of a level 6 and working towards a Level 7 qualification in Marketing or Business would be highly desirable.
