Based in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire, we are currently recruiting for a Retail Insight Analyst on a fixed term contract until November 2022, with hybrid working. Primarily involved in data analytics and producing insight, this specialist role has responsibility for researching, analysing, interpreting and clearly communicating consumer market intelligence. We are looking for someone with experience of analysing and interpreting data, with an interest in the food industry and making a difference for our levy payers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyse and interpret analysis from multiple sources
- Maintain online reporting dashboards as well as support on maintenance of the Retail & Consumer Insight webpage
- Prepare and present to a range of people and organisations the consumer and demand knowledge base of AHDB
- Be the point of contact for enquiries on retailer and foodservice market trends from sectors, retailers, processors and press
- Support marketing in the interpretation and understanding of relevant research data to ensure the correct and positive development and evaluation of consumer based campaigns and knowledge
- Build and maintain knowledge on consumer, retailer and foodservice markets and trends and develop knowledge of agricultural sectors to aid answering stakeholder enquiries and contribute to sector presentations
- Work closely with the Consumer Insight team combining knowledge for the best outputs
Essential Criteria
- Professional qualification to at least degree standard in Marketing/Economics/Agriculture or another numerate discipline, or equivalent experience
- Understanding and interest of consumer trends and purchasing habits
- Experience of writing market reports or similar publications preferred
- Competent using modern IT applications in a business environment. Experience of Power BI desirable although not essential
