Head of National Accounts for a leading business in the sports sector.

Client Details

The business have a portfolio of global brands across multiple sporting disciplines and sell into a large range of customers including highstreet retail, specialist sports, independents and online. They are constantly adding to their product portfolio and entering into new sectors and put a huge focus on product and brand development.

There is now a rare opportunity to join the business at leadership level in a Head of National Accounts capacity.

Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the National Accounts Team in the role of Head of National Accounts. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the job holder will have full responsibility for c. £40M P&L and team management (5 Senior NAMS) and development, to increase the Company's sales, profitability, and positive market profile. The role will also be focused on the identification and execution of new business opportunities, delivering greater integration with the retailers and a major contributor to the wider business strategic direction.





Profile

The requirements:This is a fantastic opportunity which will suit an ambitious and driven individual who is keen to develop and challenge best practice with new ways of thinking. You will be extremely organised, be deadline focussed and have a keen eye for detail.



Essential:

~ 3 years+ proven experience in leading a successful national accounts team in an FMCG environment

~ A respected leader, keen to develop the team, encouraging personal development and success

~ Experience of developing commercial proposals, negotiating commercial terms, and maximising the opportunity for success

~ Implemented and driven joint business planning and channel wide marketing plans

~ Proven track record in developing new business income streams

~ The ability to develop trusted partnerships with customers

~ Strong negotiation skills

~ Exceptional communicator with the ability to influence externally and internally

~ Previous experience of growing national accounts

~ Experience in managing a channel P&L

~ Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.

~ A tenacious self-starter with excellent follow through to deliver desired results

~ Advanced skills MS office, in particular Excel.

Job Offer

Up to £85,000 + car allowance, bonus and benefits.
