Category Manager - Maternity Cover

New Chapter are delighted to partner with a well-established, leading confectionary brand, recruiting the role of Category Manager on a fixed term 12-month contract. You will be joining a global, innovative leader within the confectionary sector operating in over 120 countries around the world! With its iconic market leading brands, this company is one of few that controls every step of its production.

As a Category Manager you will be responsible for the development of the category partnership within designated accounts to drive their premium confectionery offering through category management tools – specifically market data analysis and insight, research analysis and insights, and ranging and merchandising. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to interpret and effectively execute brand plans within the retailer whilst supporting the development of the company as Category Experts in the premium confectionary market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Category analysis, insights, and reporting
• Managing and supporting customer category range reviews
• Implement Category Plans with customers
• Apply the company’s merchandising strategy

Key Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to build and maintain relationships with key contacts
• Able to demonstrate Vision and Purpose
• Strong numeracy, analytical and data interpretation skills
• A self-starter with a drive for results and highly motivated
