The founder of Tyrrells Crisps and Chase Vodka and Gin knows how to build impactful brands. His new health and wellness brand is set to be no different. Willy’s Apple Cider Vinegar, founded by Will Chase, is already gaining momentum in the fermented health food market, blending a modern growing trend with historic and traditional farming practices.

It’s an exciting time at The Farmentary, Ledbury. This new brand has already built a strong foundation and an engaged audience, but to really make it fly it needs an ambitious team to fuel it. This team will be filled with people who have a creative spark, entrepreneurial spirit and a good dose of grit and determination. With a highly experienced founding team already behind the brand, people who want to learn and develop as the company grows will be at home at Willy’s.

The National Account Manager will be building a route into the main UK national accounts and then managing those accounts effectively. This role will be ideal for someone with experience of working with national retailers in the food and drink sector. You will be building the commercial and sales strategy for national accounts strategy from scratch but supported by an experienced founding team.

We are building a purpose-built team that will work with you and support you to ensure you have what you need to build effective sales campaigns and identify and act upon growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with national retailers and wholesalers, inspiring them about the Willy’s ACV brand.
  • Use customer insight and other market-based knowledge to inform your sales strategies
  • Identify and act upon growth opportunities across the accounts
  • Working across the whole business to provide your commercial insight into new product development, range extensions and marketing strategy.
  • Maintaining regular communication with all relevant contacts at major customers to ensure Willy’s ACV is front of mind and maintains respect from industry gatekeepers.

Experience required

  • A background in sales, ideally with national retailers in the food and drink sector
  • Experience of building relationships at multiple levels both internally and externally
  • A good understanding of the FMCG marketplace and how it operates

Key skills

  • Tenacious and has an entrepreneurial spark
  • A good level of commercial awareness and able to use that knowledge to make good decisions
  • Can communicate effectively and work with multiple teams to develop winning strategies.
  • Understanding of how to manage and track customer spend ranging from promotional retros to media spend to secondary space in store.
  • Ability to approach new customers in creative ways.
  • A passion for health and wellness or even fermented foods.

This is full time role but can be based remotely. Regular travel to our head office in Ledbury would be required as would national travel to meet customers.
