The Opportunity:

This a great chance for an outgoing and enthusiastic individual to join a growing business in a National Account Executive role. Supporting a National Account Manager, working with an array of fantastic brands in cards and gifts, this presents an excellent opportunity to develop your career in commercial FMCG national accounts.

As a National Account Executive, you will be assisting in the delivery of commercial objectives for selected accounts whilst being consistent to the values of the brands. The role will also encompass elements of customer operations focusing mainly on liaison with the Customer Head Office.

The role:
 

  • To support the NAM in the development of the annual retailer plans.
  • Forecast, sell, and sustain account volumes to consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Ensure the internal forecast is an accurate reflection of EPOS trends and inventory levels. 
  • Provide the NAM with post launch / promotional evaluations identifying the key learning’s and recommendation for improvement.
  • Identify and propose opportunity for incremental business across the different store formats.
  • Conduct category and range analysis to identify opportunities for growth and ensure we are utilising our space in store effectively.
  • Project Manage the “internal” team to ensure that all critical time paths are well communicated internally and that customer deadlines are adhered to.
  • To develop a sound knowledge and understanding of all aspects of our largest customers across both High Street and brokerage /grocery sectors
  • To acquire a working knowledge of all relevant internal and external operational and order systems and to provide support to the account co-ordinator where required. In addition, an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint is required
  • To liaise with relevant buying departments in respect of purchase orders, allocations, quantities etc, in order to ensure all project deadlines are met
  • To provide product information and to coordinate sample requests for customer buying teams

Experience:

To succeed in this National Account Executive position, you will ideally have an understanding of the Multiple Grocery / High street retail channels, as well as;

  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Customer facing experience.
  • Be able to maintain high standards whilst working to pressing deadlines.
  • Accurate, thorough, and professional approach.
  • Be solution driven.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects.
