Sales Controller – Foodservice
To £85k + bonus, car allowance & benefits
Based: South West/Bristol

Our client is a household-name chilled foods company and a leading player in its category, supplying both brand and own-label products to the Grocery Multiples, Convenience and Foodservice trade channels. Product quality, innovation, NPD and creative marketing are the cornerstones of this well-established business, together with a friendly, supportive and empowering business culture.

The role 

Reporting to the Commercial Director, we are now looking for a Sales Controller to lead the Foodservice business unit. You will manage a small team of National Account Managers to deliver our client’s long-term strategy within the sector, across all product categories.

This position will require special skills to lead and motivate the team and to shape the strategy, driving the Foodservice agenda across the wider business. You will also take a hands-on ‘close to the heart beat’ approach in directly managing the largest Foodservice account up to the next level. 

About you

You are well-trained and structured, with experience of working in blue chip, as well as medium-sized, more entrepreneurial-style food businesses. You possess a strong understanding of the Foodservice sector and in particular a track record of profitable sales growth in the leading Foodservice customers, for e.g., Brakes or Bidfood. Your experience should include branded products and ideally own label too, providing valuable cross-functional working including innovation experience, with influence over all relevant internal and external stakeholders.

You are currently a Foodservice Sales Controller, looking for your next challenge, or an ambitious Foodservice SNAM, looking to step up into a Controller position. You are highly personable, ambitious, commercially intelligent, a supportive coach, structured and most importantly, you want to win as a team.
