Our client is a highly successful and growing UK division of a European chilled foods group supplying a wide range of European origin-branded and own-label dairy products into Grocery Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice trade channels. The role

Our client has ambitious UK growth plans and they are now looking to expand their supply chain team further with the appointment of a Supply Chain Manager to manage the demand planning function.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Controller, your remit will be wide and varied and will include working with suppliers and the buying team, to ensure smooth, regular demand. You will work with key European hauliers to manage collection and delivery of stock. You will be responsible for managing the forward stock position in order to model storage and working capital requirements. You will manage a small team.

About you

The ideal candidate will possess sound demand planning knowledge, gained either in a recognised FMCG manufacturing company or food trading business. You may currently be a Demand Planner looking for the next step up in your career or already operate at a managerial level but are seeking a new challenge. Alternatively, you may be a Field Sales Manager or a Store Manager, who is focused on driving in-store availability, is data savvy and would relish the opportunity to broaden your career experience by moving into Supply Chain. We would love to hear from you.

This job requires a candidate to have the ability to effectively lead and manage internal and external business partners. You possess strong analytical ability and a high attention to detail. Calm under pressure, you are self-motivated, with a methodical and thorough approach to work.

Degree educated; you possess a strong understanding of demand planning. A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or similar systems is key. Good language ability including Italian or French is desirable.

The position is office based.
