Business Manager (NAM) - Grocery / Discount

Better Placed are currently recruiting a Business Manager role for a well-known food business in the Midlands. This company has a great range of branded and own-label products and they are now looking for a passionate, ambitious individual to lead their business with two large accounts across their whole portfolio.



Main responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing a commercial Joint Business Plans (JBP's) with the customer
  • Business Development to bring on new customers
  • Delivering profitable and sustainable sales growth
  • Controlling budgets and forecasting
  • Launching and driving NPD
  • Executing all promotional plans for product portfolio
  • Building strong relationships with customer and key stakeholders
  • Maintaining daily contact with customer and attending regular face-to-face meetings
  • Keeping up with key category trends and identifying new business opportunities




What we need from you:
  • Minimum 3 years in national accounts, ideally within Grocery
  • Experience strategically managing a P&L and implementing growth YOY
  • Great communicator both written and verbal
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Understanding of convenience food market
  • Ideally a mix of branded and own-label experience (not essential)
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Background in stimulating account growth and gaining new business
