We at Cavendish Maine are delighted to be supporting Rainbow Designs in their search for a Midlands Territory Representative.

  • Role:  Midlands Territory Representative
  • Location: Home Based – ideal location West Midlands

  • Reporting:  To the Field Sales Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join “The Home of Classic Characters” Rainbow Designs Ltd, a 50 year old, growing business, working with leading classic brands such as Paddington Bear, Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, Guess How Much I Love You and the Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Our range of products covers Soft Toys, Wooden Toys and Gifting and we have an incredibly diverse customer base spanning Toy, Nursery and Gifting Retailers.

The role of Midlands Territory Manager is an exciting new role, expanding the field sales team, which will help us achieve our ambitious growth plans over the next few years.

The role covers business development in new and existing accounts, in a diverse range of retailers including Garden Centres, Toy shops, Nursery Stores and Visitor attractions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To service and develop identified existing accounts on identified territory
  • Identification and successful prospecting of new accounts
  • Presentation of new products and ranges
  • Management of existing products in store, including identification of slow moving lines and management of such
  • Planning, presentation and implementation of any promotions
  • Order taking
  • Merchandising and presentation of Rainbow Product in store
  • Establishment of strong and trusting working relationships with customers
  • Pricing and quotes for Key Accounts
  • Terms negotiation for specific accounts

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a multi-channel retail sales environment
  • Be new business focused and growth orientated
  • Effective communication skills via face to face, telephone and email
  • Ability to analyse sales and territory
  • Ability to produce sales reports
  • Able to build relationships with buyers and internal staff
  • Computer literate with skills in Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good negotiator
  • Organised
  • Work ethic to deliver the required discretionary effort to surpass primary responsibilities of the role
  • Able to travel to head office in Gosport and other locations on a regular basis and stay over
  • Full clean driving license
  • Team player
  • On occasions able to work outside of defined territory
