Business Engagement Lead (G7) – Achieving Business Compliance (ABC) Programme

The Food Standards Agency has an exciting new opening for a Business Engagement Lead within our Achieving Business Compliance (ABC) programme. Helping the Agency to achieve our primary goal of continuing to safeguard public health and consumers’ wider interest in food, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible difference in the way we protect food across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Our ABC programme has been established to design new and responsive regulatory approaches that offer innovative solutions to ensure we’re providing the best service possible to the public. Taking into account the latest development in technology and data, and how these interplay with our stakeholder relationships, the ABC programme will help the FSA manage food risks and make sure that customers can always trust their food.

Playing an integral role in the ABC change management strategy, the Business Engagement Lead will connect the Agency’s programme with the Food Business Operators (FBOs) who stand to be impacted by these changes. As well as offering support and important guidance to FBOs throughout the duration of the ABC programme, the post holder will offer a path for FBOs to ensure that their input is heard and considered.

Working closely with FSA colleagues, the post holder will provide insight around the forecasted impact of ABC changes, helping to draft plans, clarify the scope of these changes, test ideas and gather data, all whilst helping to ensure FBOs are fully prepared for the changes they’ll need to embrace.

In collaboration with programme managers, project leads, and a wealth of other stakeholders both internal and external to the FSA, the successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who can act as a vital go-between connecting teams and ensure that ideas are heard by the right people.

If you are a fantastic team-worker who is excited to play an important role in improving the already high-quality work carried out by the FSA, apply today and don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity.
