Purchasing Manager | Horticulture | Lincolnshire

About the company:-
We are working with a horticulture business who have seen a lot of growth over the last 4-5 years. As a result of their success, they are looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of a Purchasing Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of their products from a number of different sources across Europe and the Far East. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement at their Dutch office as well so you will have a lot of variety in the role.

About the role:-
You will be responsible for developing the team who work for you, ensuring they have all the skills and support needed to do their jobs effectively.
You will be managing a team of buyers and supply chain co-ordinators to ensure things work the way they are supposed to.
Working closely with the senior team, you will be developing and implementing the strategic procurement goals for the business.

The ideal candidate:-
You will have experience of working in a Senior Procurement role, ideally with experience of leading a team as well. Horticulture experience isn't essential but fresh / short shelf life experience is important
You will need to be very organised in this role as you will be dealing with a number of scenarios at any one time. Prioritising these tasks appropriately is going to be key to success.
When things return to normal, you will need to be able to travel regularly as well.
