The Advocate Group has partnered with Karium, an exciting business that operates within the personal care sector. To drive and develop the company’s brand and product portfolio in the E-commerce space, we are looking for an ambitious and Amazon-savvy National Account Manager to play a role in business growth online.

Karium is a fast growing UK based FMCG company primarily operating in the Health and Beauty space. With a turnover of around £58 million, they are a highly ambitious business with the vision to double that over the next 3-5 years. Karium have a strong product and brand portfolio consisting of a number of recognisable brands within an exciting category, including Cuticura, Botanical Lab, Soft & Gentle, Provoke and Inecto.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the sales strategy, annual business plans and deliver against these for the defined customer base.
  • Ownership of full Customer P&L managing and delivering against all required elements
  • Deliver against the sales budgets in line with the needs of the business
  • Work closely with Brand & Digital Marketing Teams to ensure visibility & conversion in the channel is maximised and packs and products are aligned to the ecommerce strategy
  • Forecast volume, sales and spend effectively as per the agreed target level
  • Maintain accurate customer records, including contact reports & development progress reports.
  • Always negotiate the best possible return on company investment.
  • Management of trading terms, investment and promotional spend.
  • Build collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders (internal & external).
  • Engage the business by representing customers internally to inform business strategy.
  • Attend sales meetings, conferences, trade shows & conventions as and when required.
  • Ability to “make things happen” especially during difficult times through meticulous, planning, preparation, creativity and dynamism.

Your profile:

You will have a strong background working at National Account Manager Level within a consumer-focused business. You will have proven success in building strong relationships and negotiating with Amazon as a key account, in addition to:

  • An excellent understanding of Amazon and the ecommerce channel with proven capability to manage the daily changes of an online retailer
  • Strong understanding and proven capability of managing Amazon and other ecommerce retailers
  • Excellent commercial and account management skills
  • A real ability to build strong relationships with internal and external customers at multiple levels
  • Ability to negotiate with customers to achieve objectives
  • Proven experience of using market & consumer insight to deliver commercial benefits
  • Strong analytical skills and able to interpret complex data
  • Good commercial acumen & commercial understanding of other business functions
  • The ability to work to tight timescales and deadlines
  • Tenacious ability to go the extra mile to make it happen within all accounts
