Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG company operating across a number of diverse categories. The division has a strong presence in the grocery, household and healthcare categories with market-leading brands. The Role

Our client is seeking a Commercial Manager to join them for a 12-month period to cover maternity. Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, this role is high profile and will have a broad remit. You will be the key link between the brand owner, sales team and customers. You will build a strong relationship with the brand owner and create a three-year strategic plan between both parties. You will influence and implement the strategic plans across all customers and channels. Your role will manage promotional and NPD briefings to the sales team. You will also manage the promotional and pricing controls and challenge the sales forecasts. This is an exciting and challenging role that requires strong commercial acumen, clear strategic thinking and a proven track record of driving profitable growth.

About You

Are you a National Account Manager / Market Strategy Planning Manager finishing an interim contact and ready to consider your next opportunity? Or has your role been affected by Covid and you are looking for your next position and would consider a fixed term 12-month contract? The ideal candidate will be available to start end of October / early November.

This is a pivotal role in the team and to succeed you must bring strategic thinking to a dynamic business unit and be an integral stakeholder between the brand owner, sales, finance and supply chain. You are persuasive, analytical and highly commercial. You are a highly ambitious, driven individual with a personal style. FMCG experience is essential and confectionery / impulse category experience would be an added advantage.
