New Product Development Manager

New  Product Development Manager -NPD

Based: North London – one day home working

Circa £60-£65,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Reporting to the marketing director and working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to develop and source NPD across branded and private label products

The NPD role:

• Owning and managing the NPD process from initial ideas to launch
• Utilize data, trend and category information to make sure our NPD products match changing consumer needs
• Responsible for the co-ordination of projects ranging in scale and complexity from new product launches to minor design amends
• Responsible to ensure that project timelines are met and facilitate prioritisation decisions
• Responsible to ensure that established departmental processes & procedures are utilized & maintained, i.e stage & gate process
• Work with the brand team to produce compelling NPD presentations for the national account team
• Work with technical and operations to ensure our facilities are used at maximum efficiency
• Primary liaison with the l stakeholders and their Design & Technical Agencies to ensure all parties are fully briefed and objectives agreed
• Ensure that staff training requirements, on new products, are identified and that training is completed before product first production

• You:
• Successful track record in new and existing product development
• Data literate and problem solving ability
• Budget management expereince
• Full understanding of NPD process in a manufacturing environment
• Desirable but not essential - Degree level or equivalent in a food related subject
