An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business. This role would suit a recent marketing graduate with gap year experience looking for a career opportunity.

Purpose:

  • To assist with the product development and market growth of the Instant portfolio within the EMEA region, providing marketing support to the broader Marketing team, Sales team and various other colleagues involved with new product launches within SDA.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager, EMEA to manage the process end-to-end of new product introductions.
  • Assist with localising artwork for the EMEA region.
  • Become a product expert and the go-to person for product enquiries from the EMEA team.
  • Research trends and opportunities in key product categories and conduct competitive analysis.
  • Support effective commercialisation of products, helping to create clear Go-to-Market plans.

Main Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager, EMEA to manage the process end-to-end of new product introductions under the Instant brand.

  • From a marketing and regional expert standpoint, help to lead the development process of new products – monitoring progress, reacting to new developments, providing insights, coordinating communication, delivering key feedback, etc.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teammates located around the world involved in the development process.
  • Act as voice of consumer, mapping all customer segments and utilising findings to help guide product, packaging, and marketing related content.
  • Identify and drive key initiatives with consumer-facing artwork such as packaging, user manuals, etc.
  • Assist the Sales teams with preparing business cases to justify new product opportunities.
  • Monitor new product cost data and how it relates to pricing strategy.
  • Assist in the management of the ‘Product Introduction Plan’, ensuring all information relating to key milestones is accurate.

Assist with localising artwork for the EMEA region.

  • Liaise with the Packaging team to leverage and adapt NA assets to create UK and EU product artwork (packaging, user manuals, etc.)
  • Manage a client relationship with external agencies and record costs incurred, ensuring these are maintained within an allocated budget.
  • Coordinate artwork localisation with distributor partners within the EMEA region.
  • Own the product and packaging running changes process for in-line SKUs.

Become a product expert and the go-to person for product inquiries from the EMEA team.

  • Maintain assortment plans and key product information documents, communicating any changes and transition plans to key stakeholders.
  • Manage product information requests in a timely manner.
  • Handle any ad-hoc issues that may arise on the current product portfolio, ex: quality issue.
  • Conduct brand, product, and category training sessions.
  • Work with Customer Services and Quality team to address any corrective action plans as necessary.

Research trends and opportunities in key product categories and conduct competitive analysis.

  • Monitor and report on in-market performance of Instant products and key competitors.
  • Conduct ongoing research, using external and internal data sources to develop a deep understanding of the markets and competitors.
  • Scout macro trends to influence product roadmaps and communication activities.
  • Manage any specific research projects as required.

Support effective commercialisation of products, helping to create clear Go-to-Market plans.

  • Prepare comprehensive selling stories and sell-in kits for product launches.
  • Support the Sales team in preparation and delivery of customer presentations.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc tasks & projects as required.
  • Own product sample process; request & track development samples for the Sales and Marketing teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Highly creative, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Degree-educated, with around 1 year of product marketing experience
  • Strong commercial mindset and analytic ability
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage deadlines and multiple projects at a time
  • Excellent all-round communicator (English, written and oral)
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to analyse, absorb, reflect and respond to data / information
  • Ability to network across various functions in multiple time zones
  • Strong presentation & interpersonal skills
  • Passion for food / cooking

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with a global company, with a brand used in various regions of the world
  • Experience in the Consumer Durables industry or equivalent
  • Broad knowledge of UK and European retail
  • Multi-lingual
