We have an exciting role available for a successful and ambitious FMCG Sales leader with current or previous UK Retail Pharmacy and major retail customer experience to join my client as their new UK Sales Controller leading from the front as they develop and evolve the sales team here in the UK.

We are keen to talk to candidates who are experienced Senior NAMs with leadership skills looking to step up or experienced leaders from the FMCG world.

Description

The UK Sales Controller - Personal Care Brands will:-
  • Take full responsibility and accountability for the Boots, Superdrug and retail pharmacy portfolio
  • Lead from the front with these major accounts whilst developing and growing the UK sales team
  • Work closely with the UK General Manager to create, implement and execute retail sales strategies
  • Will work closely with all UK key accounts
  • Bring key sales and commercial leadership skills to enable them to create the planning, design the go to market structure of the sales department and work towards all agreed targets and objectives internally and externally
  • Be responsible for managing and influencing across all the external customer relationships at all levels, supporting the wider team in doing so and developing strong cross-functional internal relationships (marketing, finance, supply chain) to grow my client's UK business


Profile

The UK Sales Controller - Personal Care Brands will:-
  • Come with previous leadership experience in FMCG ideally with experience of managing Boots and Superdrug, but also major retail customers
  • Have managed at least a team of 2-4 people in national account positions
  • Be ambitious with a keen sense for growth and development
  • Have experience in creating major customer plans and executing with success
  • Have experience of being able to develop sales team members, creating a high-performance culture
  • Experience of recruiting, developing and growing a sales team ideally - some flex here
  • Be able to commute to the South East England area a min of once per week for the office, again with some flex here for the right candidate
  • Have exceptional professional, presentation, communication skills
  • Be very focused around developing all major opportunities for the business to grow
  • We are looking for someone who is ambitious to grow to a Director position in the business as sales grow and grow and the structure continues to evolve
