National Account Manager – House & Garden Products
£60-70,000 Basic, Bonus, Company Car/Car Allowance + Benefits
Our Client is a leading supplier of a range of consumer products for the Home & Garden.
They are now looking for an intelligent, articulate, hardworking and passionate National Account Manager to help develop business with Multiple Retail accounts.
Working closely with and reporting to the Sales Director, the job holder will be tasked with developing profitable sales growth within a number of national accounts. These include Grocers, DIY Sheds and Garden Centre Groups. They will be responsible for maintaining and developing existing accounts and optimising the range offer within the accounts to ensure profitable growth for both our client & their customers. The job involves some new business as well as managing existing accounts.
Candidates must have a good level of exposure at a senior level to any of the top four grocers. That is an essential.
Exposure to either garden centre groups and/ or DIY sheds is a bonus, but is not essential.
Multiple garage forecourts experience would also be a bonus.
Our Client will consider candidates from any similar or associated category, for example;
Barbecue accessories & related products
Garden chemicals ( especially peats and fertilisers ).
Landscaping products ( gravel, soil etc ).
Garden Furniture/ ornaments.
Christmas / Seasonal.
Automotive ( screen wash / de-icer etc ).
Candidates with exposure to a seasonal category will have an advantage.
Remuneration - £60k to £70k basic. 40% bonus plus company car ( with the possibility of a car allowance in the event that a candidate already has their own car )
Location – this is a home based role but candidates will need to get to the office in Yorkshire on a regular basis. Candidates can live anywhere between the M62 and M4 corridors.
