Supply Chain Coordinator

The Company:

You will be joining a market leading company with over 70 years of trading history and a reputation for customer service and product innovation. Their range combines form, function and environmental excellence – and they have never been busier. They have their own factories in the UK and Europe as well as sourcing from quality far-east manufacturers with the goal of having a full range of stock at all times. This role has been created to add expertise in this key area and to maintain service levels to their customers. 

The Role of Supply Chain Coordinator:

Within an established procurement team, your focus will be:

1. Analyse historic sales data and trends in order to forecast future demand
2. Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure a fault-free process of goods in and goods out

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with logistics to ensure all orders go out complete and on time 
• Ensure all special customer requirements are met 
• Manage goods in and ensure they are delivered to an agreed schedule 
• Carry out stock reconciliations 
• Review product forecasts and liaise between sales and purchasing accordingly 
• Book stock into the ERP system 
• Support the supply and purchasing team 
• Assist with ERP development relating to sales, purchasing and stock
• Travel to factories and the warehouse as required 

Candidate Profile: Supply Chain Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to develop their skills in a busy, fast-paced department. You will enjoy a progressive level of challenges with increasing responsibility as your experience grows. The profile we seek is:

• 3-4 years of experience within a fmcg / foodservice supplier or major retailer within a procurement or supply chain environment
• Degree educated or equivalent
• Highly numerate with excellent IT skills
• Advanced Excel knowledge and able to build forecasts
• Great communication skills and embrace working under pressure  
• Attention to detail
