A high profile, premium-branded e500m European food business that’s enjoying being the UK’s fastest growing category brand. With a substantial TV-led marketing investment campaign that will also fully support a dynamic rebrand launch currently landing in-store right now…. exciting stuff! The UK division of this family-inspired business has achieved high double-digit growth sales over the last 6 years and they are striving to continue this trend as their brand grows ever popular with today’s discerning consumers looking for that everyday premium product treat.  

Following a restructuring of the business the Commercial Director is looking to appoint a highly talented and driven National Account Manager who has the ambition and potential to develop their commercial career up to a more senior level role. 

THE NAM ROLE

This career-shaping opportunity will have P&L and strategic responsibility for Morrisons and Coop accounts where your objective will be on step changing sales and profits delivery. Your focus will be to manage all customer-led marketing activities, JBP negotiations, promotional planning, NPD new listings and very importantly, building effective customer relationships.

You will be part of a friendly and commercially-focused National Accounts team who are fully supported with Marketing, Finance and Category colleagues, including market-leading tools and information to ensure you compete in their large, dynamic and high on trading opportunities category.

To encourage those who are prepared to travel for the right career move, the position offers a flexible home-based contract, with 2-days per week South East based head office attendance post-Covid.

THE CANDIDATE

Having been well trained in a large FMCG branded food or drink business with experience of managing any of the leading grocery retail multiples, you are looking for a new challenge within a modern well-invested business, with a premium, growing brand and where you can have the responsibility to go ‘sell’ and make things happen…… Oh, and be recognised and rewarded for your commercial achievements!

Our client is interested in your account management stories around ‘what and how’ you have gained category insight-led commercial achievements, including new listings/store distribution, negotiating terms i.e. JBP or CPI, or how you have gone the extra mile to deliver profitable sales growth within your customers.

To succeed in this role you will need to be well educated and commercially astute, with a sound understanding of the UK grocery trade dynamics. You need to be driven and energetic, possessing a highly-personable style that easily connects and works well within a motivated, highly-collaborative team culture.
