This significant East Midlands FMCG business are seeking to employ a driven Junior Category Manager who will be required to take on full ownership of Category duties.
As part of a wider team within this well-known UK FMCG manufacturer this role will sit across Marketing and NPD departments. Providing second to none insights from market trends, consumer insights and pricing architectures along with commercial changes taking place across this fast paced and dynamic market.
To achieve this, you will hold full ownership responsibilities working across multiple internal stakeholders in Sales, NPD and Marketing whilst meeting with your retailers and supporting the Category Marketing Manager with theirs to develop strong valued relationships. Existing experience of developing new strategies for future growth is vital.

This role is central to understanding the competitive landscape of the business and provide a platform for further strategic decision making. Therefore, you will be at the heart of the business with a view of everything that is taking place.
In conjunction with the Category Marketing Manager you will develop strategic direction in the collation of reports, analysis and interpretation of market data/data tools such as Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby, Epos or similar to provide learnings and insights into the relevant markets; to enhance business decision making. These excellent proven analytical skills will be complimented with strong confident communication competencies, experienced retailer presentation skills and excellent organisation.
This will enable you to identify not just market trends but future opportunities that can be capitalised through your confident interaction with existing and new retailers on a face to face basis.
You must be bright, sharp, self-organised, excellent eye for detail and the passion and aptitude to operate in this fast paced growing but exciting environment to create exciting insights and category strategies to win. Providing clear analysis and conclusions.
