The Role

European Account Manager / Export Sales Manager

This is a wonderful opportunity to join an outstanding British exporter. This rapidly growing and profitable manufacturer of consumer goods embarked on expansion into Europe around 10 years ago and now counts on export to 75 countries.  Despite being the UK market leader, up until 2009 the business had never sold its popular products outside the UK. That all changed with a refocus on strategy that has led to the business selling to all over the world.

This successful British manufacturer of branded consumer goods and winner of the Queen’s Award for International Trade is looking for an Export Sales Manager / European Account Manager to take responsibility for its international (principally European) business. The company enjoys direct sales with leading grocers (supermarkets), DIY retailers and garden centres throughout the UK and Europe and the Export Sales Manager / European Account Manager will take over the daily management of the international business with a turnover of circa £10m.

The business is located in Lancashire and is looking for a locally based candidate who will be able to work from the office.

An internationally focused business which has broadened its product range in recent years to enter more categories and capitalise on its already excellent distribution with leading retailers across the globe.

The Benefits

The role will offer a basic salary in the region of £40,000-£50,000 plus package.

The Person

The business requires somebody with export sales experience attained within consumer goods. The business is especially interested in recruiting a fluent French or German speaker given the importance of French-speaking and German speaking markets to the company turnover. You will understand the retail channel, international retail in particular, and be able to undertake occasional trips to Europe. 

A location in Lancashire, in the area surrounding Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley, Bury Manchester, Oldham, Preston, Rochdale etc..etc…will be ideal for this role.
